A little over a year ago the idea was brought forth to have an ATV site dedicated to the adult community who are not necessarily racers, but ATV enthusiasts. This site is designed with the purpose to bring quality photos, top notch video content, and relevant news to the ATV community. We are a small, but well organized group who welcome anyone with something to add to our rapidly growing member base.
As a site, we run group rides, meet at National and local events, and share tech information. The Quadbuilder strives to provide a family-oriented community. When one of our own was injured racing, our members raised $1000 running a concession stand at an AGP event. The site has brought together like-minded individuals who want to further enjoy the ATV experience without all the excess baggage.
Our gallery includes over 7,000 images displaying everything from a weekend riding excursion to members personal builds to National and local race photos from the GNCC and WPSA and PA series. Our video content is produced with entertainment in mind. In the future we will be adding more videos directed to inform our members with interviews and how-to's. Our boards include several top riders who will give you insight into their training and ATV preparation.
Come on in, check us out and feel free to stay around. |

On our trip to the Indy dealer show we met up with Eric Lacasse. He is the Director and Producer of Wide Open Throttle and Refuel, a video company from St-Prosper, Quebec. After alot of discussion and chatting about our site and his company he decided to give us a copy of Refuel to review along with checking out the teaser clips of Refuel 2. I know it has been a while since Indy, but I wanted to get the chance to watch the video several times so I could give it a fair review. Being a videographer myself, I tend to be overly critical of video offerings. |

great things about the Miles Mountain race that took place this past weekend in Elkland, Pa. I drove with Ron Dernoski and his family to the track on Friday. We arrived around 10:00 p.m., and there were already a lot of people at the track. The parking was very organized, with a few track workers around directing everyone to parking spots. We soon headed off too bed, praying that the thunderstorms the weather called for would stay away. |

“Where are all the rocks you keep talking about?” That’s what everybody kept asking me after Round #1 of the NECC Series. I would answer with- “Round #2”.
This past weekend’s race was both fun and challenging. After helping the promoter with track feedback weeks prior, I made the recommendation for all riders to run the largest tires they could

get their hands on. This is what a typical New England off-road race course resembles. Round #1 spoiled a lot of people and gave them the impression that all NECC races would be that easy. It gave the false impression to a few riders to try their luck by advancing too many classes. This posed quite a problem and a safety issue during the race.
At sign up, I overheard some riders asking each other what class they should enter. They were telling each other “Just enter the Pro class, it is all the same” I am always eager to meet other Pro’s as it is usually only me and Danny Shea on the front line. When I introduced myself and asked a little of their back round, one guy said he had only raced once and won the novice class and his “buddy” can “usually hang with him”. Not to disregard anyone’s talent, but I felt it was not out of line to recommend only moving up one, maybe two classes. The timeless argument is that if they want to get better, they have to ride with better riders. (Key word being “ride”, not race.) As that may be true to some extent, I have always said that it takes a lot more than speed to be a Pro rider. When riders advance too far too soon, it is down right dangerous as was evident of the start of this event. |
